MP3 Jukebox queries
« on: July 15, 2015, 06:06:27 am »
Hi All. Since my post a few days ago about Rowe-Ami jukebox dimensions I have been getting to grips with the last few bits and pieces of the
software ( I am using DWJUKEBOX with a few mods )  The final puzzle I am trying to solve is a sound issue.  The program uses wav. files for the jukebox sound effects and I am trying to find a way of sending these to a separate sound output so that they can be played on a small set of speakers inside and behind the display panel.  This would make my jukebox more realistic.  The MP3 music tracks will be played through a separate amp and large good quality speakers mounted in the lower panel.  The setup at present plays both sound effects and music through the same audio output which is not ideal.
Any advice/info. on the above would be gratefully received.

Many thanks

Hey,
I would imagine the proper way to do it would be to have the jukebox trigger the existing wav on a different audio output.
depending on what soundcard you have, this may be impossible with your current setup.

you can get very cheap usb mic/headphone kits which function as a second output if you decide to mess with the software and go this route.

Another option (again depending on your setup) would be to re-encode the wav files into one of the unused rear channels and just wire that output to a separate amp/pc speaker set.
this is likely the easier option but assumes you have 5.1 or 7.1 audio output built in
or again can get a new soundcard.

either way, you need more separate outputs. hope this helps.
