Vector Libraby Updates
« on: January 02, 2004, 01:04:54 pm »
The vector library http://www.mametrixreloaded.com is undergoing some changes.

Due to security changes the server can no longer see the sql server and I am moving everything to mySQL.

I'll be taking advantage of things and making some changes that may make things a bit easier as well but in the meantime the uploads and downloads will most likely not work. They'll be back as quickly as possible.

A quick poll here, how many think it would be too much hassle, or too confusing to change the uploads to ftp rather than the web form?

I think FTP is fine, as long as we can still see the FTP contents (rather than a blind drop box)

Update... heres a quick preview of the new library. It will be organized by contributor and there will be a link to download a zip file of the completed artwork.  I'm working on some mods to the gallery coding to allow the zip file to be saved, and then linked to the actual picture.

http://www.mametrixreloaded.com/gallery/albums.php

If one of your pictures is in the misc folder, let me know and I'll make sure it gets where it belongs.

The current files will be available for download by the end of the week, and in the meantime you can send me any new files via the contact link from the homepage http://www.mametrixreloaded.com

Defender front & side art & williams control panel  are all mine.

You can delete duplicate copies of the front & side art. There were problems uploading them at the time.

kram1 (marquee) and clyde are from me.

I'm not the author of frogger2 on my section, is from 3dmacman.

and it will be honest to credit 3dmacman for th the galaga sideart instead of me. most of the job was done by him.

How do you download the files from the new vector library at http://www.mametrixreloaded.com/gallery/? Or is it not ready yet?

Allso I've used the Gallery software for many years and I usually tune it so that more thumbnails are visible on each page, for example 4X5. That can be changed in the preferences for each sub album.

mametrix, checked out the site looks nice and clean.  Just a few things, frogger2, mp front, and mpo in the misc. are my files. Not that it matters to me where they are as long they are available.

I don't know about you guys, but I can't get anything off this site.
I went to graphics, chose characters, and I get a dead screen.  What's up?

Whoa, the strokes got really messed up on that.

I would suggest if anyone uses this, that they use illustrator.. .
either that, or I need to do some conversion on the strokes
