Playing Touchmaster on a Winbook
« on: July 05, 2015, 12:37:08 pm »
I have setup touchmaster to run great on my jukebox which uses an ELO touchscreen. I have tried to get it working on the winbook I'm using (http://www.microcenter.com/product/439773/tw70ca17_tablet_-_black) and the problem is I have to double touch anything for it to register. I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on what setting I can change to get this to work.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not very familiar with touchmaster, but I have a winbook and have installed a couple programs such as Visual Pinball and Album Player, neither of which require double touch.

Is the touchmaster software readily available?  If so, I can try to check it out on mine if I get a chance.

No experience with a winbook, but you might try enabling or disabling multimouse in mame.ini

If it's disabled, mame uses the "system mouse" that exists in windows and controls the pointer (all connected mouse devices act as one, windows mouse settings have an effect).
If enabled, mame uses raw input directly from the mouse enabling input from multiple mice separately.

Raw input might bypass the requirement to double touch.

HanoiBoi - this is touchmaster emulated through MAME.

The way I've got it to work in the past is by enabling the lightgun. I'll take a look at the different multi-mouse settings. If I had access to the driver, that could have some options that could work, but I can't find anything. My ELO gives me some decent options. I'll report back if the mouse makes any difference.
