Rush the Rock 2049 booting question
« on: July 05, 2015, 09:23:35 am »
Does anyone have a list of codes for the little digital indicator window display that's located on the VEGAS board set specifically for Rush 2049? I'm getting a code that looks like it's counting from number "1"...all the way to number "8" and then I get what looks like a flashing "E". It continously repeats this pattern. The monitor doesn't work so I can't see what's going on with the screen. I'm wondering if I can plug a VGA cable into the video card and use an LCD as a temporary fix but haven't attempted this yet. Hoping it's a hard drive but you know how that goes. I went through the service manual and did not notice any mention of what this could indicate. Any help would be very much appreciated.

This http://www.betson.com/images/cms/amusement/10011001_Rush2049SEUp_man.pdf is for the standup version, but maybe has something useful around page 70. That shows what the LED's indicate as far as errors. It does look like most of the diag goes through the monitor though. I would try the LCD if you have one handy that will support the res.

Switchbank U17, Try Switch 1 off Switch 2 on, or both On.

They should force the Voodoo Card to Output PC VGA.
