UltraStick, IPac and Xpadder
« on: June 19, 2015, 07:24:05 pm »
Ok having a nightmare with this just installed 2 new Ultra360's and IPac 2, all detected fine in windows, Using hyperlaunchhq all ipac button presses show correctly.

Ipac Firmware is 1.30 , Windows 7 64 Bit, Radeon R9 270 GC, AMD 8320E CPU.

Now in Xpadder i see 3 icons at the top IPAC2 - UltraStick 1 - Ultrastick 2

But when i Select IPac then create a new Layout no button presses appear on edit screen

And how do i link the UltraStick and Ipac button presses together in hyperlaunchHQ, Do i create 2 profiles in the bottom window of the keymapper in HLHQ..?

If you want your Ultrasticks to behave like a digital joysticks(e.g. firing key strokes for both the directions and the buttons) you should just connect them to the ipac using the 10 pin I/O harness instead of using xpadder.

That would work but you lose the abilty to apply maps to the sticks. Mame is quite happy with game controller buttons and axes.
We have received many support emails from people using Xpadder, some of which have taken a while to resolve owing to the strange nature of the problems. After removing Xpadder all the issues have gone away.

You should leave the USB cable connected too. This way you can both download maps AND still have the stick trigger keyboard presses using the iPAC being more flexible in controlling emulators and front ends.
