I tried to download Mame .103 but I got a 404 error. I also try some other releases around .103 and also got a 404's. Some older versions still work but wanted .103.

Why would you want to use a MAME variant with imperfect Neo Geo raster effects and no Raiden 2 emulation?

Old P4 HP only to be used for a small list of classics.

Most of the pac-man's
The 3 different donkey khan's
Galaga
Tapper
Mappy
Tetris

The list may grow some more but not to much I want to keep it small.

Not working for me.  You can probably find v.106 elsewhere on the internet since that's a very popular build.
If you don't have any luck finding v.106 elsewhere I can upload it.

I keep v.106, v.83(or something around there where Outrun was improved), and v.34 just in case I need an old build for slower computers.
By today's standards those full romsets take up hardly any space, so why not keep them?   :lol

Found a pack that says it includes v 0.103 but it's a 12.7GB download in a single zip package ( has artwork etc. included) so would take awhile to download and ensure it is what it says it is  :dunno

Thanks Badmouth,
I'v found lots of dead links for .106. It would be great if you could upload.

I have a copy of .103 Mame32 but it does not seem to play well with Atomic FE.

You might try posting over at MameWorld to see if you can get an official response. But, I think they are still migrating the older code/exes into GitHub.

This place has quite the repository. I'm not sure if they have non-UI versions though.

Go ahead and upload it.  At the moment, it's a bit of a hassle for me to dig out the drive v.106 is on.
If v.104 works for Locke141, then I don't have to bother.  :)

I was pointed here:

Thanks mgb the binary but it looks like I now have several options for .103 down load sites.

Thanks any way Badmouth, had I know it was inconvenient I would have made due with an different versions.

Uhhhh no.

galaga.c history

  • 0.144u3: Angelo Salese fixed sound issues in Galaga.
  • 0.144u1: hap fixed graphic artifact when booting in Galaga and clones.
  • 0.143u8: Kanikani fixed DIP locations in Galaga.
  • 0.133u1: Brian Troha added DIP locations to Galaga. Added proper conditional bonus (based on number of starting fighters) to Galaga.
  • 0.131u3: Added MB8843 (1536000 Hz) CPU4. Corrected MB8844 CPU5 clock speed to 1536000 Hz.
  • 0.127u3: Aaron Giles fixed locks up in Galaga (Cheat engine problem).
  • 0.123u5: Zsolt Vasvari fixed the crash in Galaga
  • 0.118u5: Changed palettesize to 576 colors to fix inaccurate colors.
  • 0.112u2: Replaced 3x DAC sound with Discrete.

No, .104 MAME. You're a BAD Galaga emulator. You're a VERY bad Galaga emulator.

I posted on the mameworld.info EmuChat forum about this at this thread here:

http://www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Number=341290&page=1&view=expanded&sb=5&o=&fpart=1&vc=1

Bottom line, all of the links will be back up eventually; Stilletto still has to add all files prior to v.119 and Micko will have to add the old compile tools.

Just be patient.
Read to your kids, you'll all be better for it.

Thanks guys,

I got it and will do some testing tomorrow to see how old I really need to go with the old P4. I'm hoping to use a newer version but I don't have access to the PC right now want to be prepared and I have a bunch of 103 rom.

I know I want all..

  • Pac-Man
  • Ms.Pac-Man
  • DK
  • DK.JR
  • Galaga
  • Tetris
  • Tapper

I'm not ready to start a build thread but I thin this is going to be a good one.
