ATI Hd 4350 + win7 64bits + jpac + CRT Emudriver (problem)
« on: June 12, 2015, 07:57:36 am »
Hello Calamit
Have a problem with these settings described, i installed CRT Emudriver everything goes normal until the end of the process, quickres1 can saw all the resolutions, but when i will boot, the arcade monitor doesnīt show anything the j-pac looses the sync, even doing the Arcade OS trick thru Teamviewer on a remote computer.
So the only way to work it is booting the pc into a normal pc monitor thru VGA, them when windows finish the start i plug the vga cable from the j-pac into the vga, and the image shows on my arcade monitor 15khz, any clue what could be ?

Thanks a lot
Marcos

That's a monitor detection problem. Use the dvi output instead, through a dvi-vga adapter.
Important note: posts reporting GM issues without a log will be IGNORED.
Steps to create a log:
 - From command line, run: groovymame.exe -v romname >romname.txt
 - Attach resulting romname.txt file to your post, instead of pasting it.

Hello Calamity
Thank you so much for your help and tip, will try it for sure.
Let me congratulation you for the excelent job with the CRT Emudriver, after doing that trick that i described above i was at least able to see some resolutions and test the Arcade OS, man it brings my old AdvanceMame times, when i was able to fine tune some of the resolutions, so now i have to get it to work.
Today i use an ArcadeVga 5000 from Andy, but itīs a litlle limited.
Hope that DVI > VGA adapter works !
Another doubt do you think if i flash the Hd4350 with Atom-15, do you think it can fix the problem of detection, will it shows the boot screen just like the AVGA do ?

Thanks for the tip Sledge, will remove the teamviewer, need it just to see what is going on thru the process, now with dvi>vga dont need anymore.
Good news ! Worked thru the DVI > VGA adapter now the arcade monitor is working perfect wih the right monitor detection, with the best image i ever seen.
Just the last doubt, 640x480 interlaced dont worked in 15khz, it splits the screen, any hint ?

Thanks a lot specialy for Calamity

That is probably due hitting 640x480p instead 640x480i. I had similiar issue on my Samsung CRT TV. Remember to set 30 Hz (that's how windows 7 shows interlaced modes) instead of 60 Hz. But that's strange - jpac should filter such resolution.

It's normal for interlaced resolutions.
