You think maybe that will drive the price of the older wheels down?

Hopefully, but I'm doubtful.

The going price of the MOMO actually went up after Logitech sold out their stock directly for $40 shipped.
That's when I bought mine.  ;D

That's the first thing I thought of when I saw the announcement. It probably will drive the price down but then again the G27 has held its price for a long time now and if they stop making them it will go up.

Thinking on it a little more, I guess it would depend on if the G29 is actually better or not.  Wheels are funny... sometimes it's the old, busted model that people prefer.

Meh, looks like it's 90% G27 parts.
The one article mentions that it uses the exact same ffb motor and gears from the G27.
The guy in the video mentions ball bearings like it's a new thing.

The real question I have is.....WILL THEY UPDATE LOGITECH PROFILER TO MAP THE CLUTCH?

...and the shifter is sold separately.

Wonder if the G27 shifter would work on the G920?  Hmm...

They are clearly trolling. Don't feed 'em guys.

You should see the amount of people at various different forums that are up in arms over this blatant cash grab attempt. Hopefully everyone votes with their wallet and avoids this garbage like the plague.

I think they are just looking at the competition (Thrustermaster is the next price bracket up from the G27) and mirroring the model.

I think all these companies are taking their customers for a ride in terms of price vs what you get (which is why I'm not into this portion of the hobby as hardcore as you guys are).  At the same time though there are really only 4 or 5 companies that even make wheels anymore and only 2 that make the "pro grade" wheels.  So I guess beggars can't be choosers.
