My Very Own Arcade :)
« on: December 30, 2003, 11:43:21 pm »
Ok so I am working on my MAME and have designs on another and maybe a pin for the house, but the other day I met a friend at a new local bar in Atlanta called, 97 Estoria.  Right now they have Golden Tee, Lord of the Rings Pinball, Namco Multi-Game and Ultracade!  I chatted with the owner tonight over a game of LOTR and found out that they are expanding into the space next door and are using all of it for a retro arcade!!!! - Pool table, foosball, more pins, and a bunch of classic games!!!!

He said the operator tried to put in some fighting games and he objected stating, "No way, I hate having my butt kicked by 13 yr old girls, I want retro stuff so I can compete!"

I am kicking myself that I did not go sooner as he is using a local operator for the gig and that could have been me, but dang I get a real live retro arcade just about 10 blocks...10 BLOCKS from my house!!!!

Life throws you some good ones sometimes...:)

Will do, might be a while though as they haven't started the expansion yet.  I think Ultracade.com has the game listings, I'll look and see if I can tell which set of games it has.  I know many classics are there, some fighting.  Will look again.
