Helping a neighbor out and looking to put a JAMMA 412 in 1 in a Super Mario BROS cabinet. Looks like it has 2 different connectors vice one JAMMA? Is there a converter or just as easy to gut it and start from scratch?

Probably better to leave the existing wiring alone and grab a new JAMMA harness. They are relatively cheap and simple to install. However, I believe the Nintendo monitor has an inverter board in there so you would need to mess with that to get JAMMA games to work with it. Assuming you have a Sanyo 20EZ in it. (That's beyond my scope of knowledge on how to achieve this though).
Alternatively, you can use a Nintendo to Jamma Adapter instead of a new JAMMA harness, but it costs more:

P.S. - What are you planning to do with the old harness? Do you still have the SMB boards? I'd be interested if you still have them.
