Arcade Control build with Mini-Pac
« on: May 10, 2015, 06:57:26 pm »
So I recently acquired an empty arcade cab with the intention to turn it into a MAME. I'm at the part where I'm trying to decide if I should buy a pre-built control panel (X-Arcade) or if I should attempt to build my own. I'm going the build my own route since X-Arcade doesn't offer the size I need, and their customer service seems to be less than stellar, and I haven't even bought anything yet. With that said, I've been doing some research and I've decided to go with the Mini-PAC as it seems to be the easiest choice for a wiring novice like myself.

I'm posting a copy of my Shopping Cart, and I was just hoping that someone could take a look at it to make sure I'm not missing anything, or if I got the wrong stuff. Also, I'm planning on running this through a Raspberry Pi 2, not sure if that makes a difference with the Mini-PAC or not. I'm looking to follow a standard 2-Player layout, I've included an example below as well. Any help and/or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Why not just use an I-Pac 2?

The MiniPAC seemed easier with the wiring harness. I'm trying to keep it as simple as possible.
