Windows 7 not Recognizing Pre-2015 USB iPac 4
« on: May 09, 2015, 10:34:33 am »
As the title says, my iPac4 is not being detected by Windows 7. It is telling me it's an unknown device when I connect it. iPac is hooked up through USB. I do have an actual keyboard hooked up to a different USB port, I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it or not. The iPac 4 has two LED lights lit up on it when connected to the USB port, so I believe that means the iPac at least thinks it's functioning correctly. Reading on Ultimarc's website, it says I shouldn't need any special drivers for the iPac, but maybe I do? Any ideas on how to fix the issue?

The Ultimarc site, or the documentation that came with the IPAC, should explain the lights and what they mean when on, when off, when blinking, etc..

Also, I'd suggest troubleshooting some more.  Unplug the keyboard, try the IPAC in a different port, connect a switch to the IPAC and open notepad, etc..

The LEDs being lit does indicate it is working.

Can you drop me an email if not able to get it working: andy@ultimarc.com

Thanks. I got it working this morning after realizing my coin door was wired incorrectly. Windows is still saying it's an unrecognized device, but it is functioning as expected. Tested it out a little bit in gameplay and all joysticks and gameplay buttons seem to be working.
