Taito All in one
« on: May 06, 2015, 01:36:03 pm »
Have a bead on a Taito Gameroom Classics on CL. Guy is asking $220 for it. Only two pictures, but it looks like it's in great shape. Wondering if I should grab it? (Mind you, I have no need for a new cab, but then again, why does that matter?

Just wondering if it's a good grab (should it still be available?) I'm sure it's probably gone as it's been up there for a couple days.

Listing:
Taito standup arcade plays lots of great Taito classics!

I'd jump on that. Looks pretty decent for $200.

The big question is, keep it as is, or convert it into something else?  :dunno

I would say keep it as is. There are a lot of fun games on that board.

Well, I have another bead on a Carn-Evil game that is claimed to be running perfect for a LOT less money than this one. The guy said he had a lot of inquiries, but nobody has come to get it. It's about an hour away or so, my only issue is I only have a mini-van and want to make sure it's going to fit. Also, can I lay it on it's back?

Jump on it. You can sell the PVGTech Taito Multiboard for over £300/$450 on its own.

I came across one of these, once I looked at it I walked away. the marquee is a sticker so u would need to cut if you want to add lights. The wood used is light particle board and the control panel is fixed so no easy modification. Its not really an arcade cabinet. Every aspect is bottom of the line.

Franco is right- the board itself is worth more than the cab.

From the other opinions it sounds like you buy it, keep the Taito board, monitor and junk the cab.

Well that's a bummer the cab sucks. Can't really tell from the pic. Well. It can't be as bad as those Midway cabs from a few years back. I always laugh when I see those on Craig's List. They're terrible.
