Intro movie issues with Mala?

Hey guys,

so im just finishing up my Bartop.  I am running a mame computer system, 1 mag stick plus and a ipac with buttons.  Mala is my front end.  I have the system to boot up directly into a game then i can esc out and go to the mala menu if i want.  All has been working really good.  till today.............  Today I decided to try running a into video before booting into the game when mala starts.  I set mala to play the into video on start up.   It works great.. the Video plays then the game boots up.  I can play the game just fine.  All joystick and buttons work as they should.  now here is the issue...  when i esc out of the game, none of the buttons or the joystick work within mala.  its like they are locked out or something.  I have confirmed that this only happens when i let mala play the video before starting up.  If I uncheck the intro video option then go to mala menu the joystick and buttons work fine.  why would the into video lock out the controls in mala.  Its funny that the controls aren't locked out after the video plays and the game boots up.  Only when I exit the game and go to the mala menu does the ipac or the controls themselves or mala for that matter not allow anything to function.  its a weird issue and I was wondering if anyone else has come across this issue?

Sounds like MALA lost focus which is a pretty common problem.  Are you running the latest version of MALA?  Also, it looks like the AllInOne program might help out but I have not used it.  http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=134999

This isnt the solution you want but, turn off the intro video.  It'll lose its charm after about a week.

yes your right it looks like it looses its focus, and i agree that the movie looses is charm real quick.  I already turned it off and i am fine without it..)

I had hyperspin on a cab once, I thought the intro movie was awesome.........................................then a week went by.

The video is still better than anything I could make but yeah, it had to go. The fact the video created a new problem would have been enough for me to disable it, but thats just me

Yeah, anything longer than a 5 second video at bootup is too long after about a week. I remember some dude posted like a 10 minute clip of Tron Legacy a couple months ago. I think we helped him see the light.
