Great little $10 amp
« on: May 03, 2015, 02:53:08 pm »
I bought this on Amazon for a gift bartop, thought it'd share it. You can tap directly into your PC power supply, so no external adapter is necessary. No soldering required. I even bought a second one to have on hand.

Somebody mentioned this one a while back that I bookmarked.

Probably me.

Those are good too, BUT it doesn't come with the power adapter. I like the one I posted because you save space by not needing another outlet in the Bartop for a wall wart you have to pay extra for. Splice it into the 12v and Bob's your uncle.

If you're in Canada, I carry a similar model in the arcade shop: http://www.gameroomdesigns.ca/shop/mini-amplifiers/mini-2-channel-amplifier/

Does yours come with the power supply?

My current stock does, yes. I ordered them separately, however, and need to find a firm supplier.

Good for you. You might want to mention that on your page.

Here's a good comparison photo. Both are good, but the first one is great if you are tight on space.

I checked with my supplier, and will also offer this smaller amplifier circuit. It will have the same quick-connects for no-solder functionality, and will be $10. (All I need is a good picture, but I'll add it into my online store today.)

Edit: Product added!

Just a quick note as well - some of these amplifiers (as with a number of the ones I carry - it depends on the stock my supplier has at the time) do come with quick-connects instead of a power jack in, so you can connect them the same way through splicing into the 12V from the power supply.
