commandline based mng to avi proggie?
« on: February 27, 2002, 11:25:50 am »
Anyone know about a program that lets you convert mng files to avi?

mng to something else is also ok...I can probably take it from there...

I want to automate the creation of video's for the cabs in Emulaxian with advancemame...and that would help  ;)

I dont' remember the name, but I had something that would convert like any video to any other a while ago (with batch support).  I have no idea what the name was (will look tonight) but it was about a year ago and there are probably better programs out at this point.

That would be great!
But I doubt it would have supported mng if it is older then a year...

I yesterday searched with google for over an hour and did not find any commandline based proggie :-(

Well, talk Howard into seperating his keyboard / catcher / keyboard key pressing part of his frontend to make a generic macro application.  Then you could use it to batch your conversions :)

Actually once development slows down... (Like it ever does.)  I'm going to add the ability to send custom keystrokes for each individual emu via a scripting type of file.  It'll be similar to emuwizard but much better in that  you'll only have to do it for each emu rather than each game.  When I do that I'll have to do some major code re-working, which would be a perfect excuse to make a stand-alone app.
