Rowe R-92 Amp Sound on Startup
« on: April 23, 2015, 11:05:40 am »
Hi all - When a records starts on the R-92, for the first few seconds, the sound is noticeably louder and distorted. After that, it calms back down and sounds good. It's almost like there's a power overage that needs draining away before the amp sounds normal.

Any Thoughts?

Hello Fredo,

What amplifier model number is fitted to your R-92? is the mute plug fitted? have you checked for dry joints (cold joints USA) on the connections pins connecting the pre-amplifier to the output stages and the 13 pin jumper plug?

Regards
Alan
