Time crisis MAME cheat always on

Hello
I search a lot but no luck
time crisis have a bug to hit the copter , there is a cheat code which enable possibility to kill him
Is there a way to pre enable this cheat at startup or hex edit ROM to patch it permanantly

I'm just giving this a little bump as I'm also interested in this.

From what I've read up as of MAME 0.126 the cheat engine changed from using the cheat.dat system to using .xml's.
The cheats can be auto enabled on the cheat.dat system but not in the .xml's, unless you can hex edit it like you said. (also mentioned in the thread below)

Which flavor of Mame are you guys using. I can try to write a patch for the source.

Currently I am sitting on a patch for fast start - unthrottled speed at startup with optional frame skipping.
