Using a Multi JAMMA switcher

Hi everyone,
I had a question about using one of these. I am considering buying an NBA Jam cabinet and was curious is you could use one of these and install an NFL Blitz pcb to run the same cabinet given the button layout is identical? Can anyone tell me if this can be done and any reconmmendations if so? Thanks.

Which one? I don't know about those games specifically,  but a lot of Midway games need -5v so depending on the switcher you may need to mod it or just swap pcbs instead.

This.  Midway games are notorious for using -5v.  I have SmashTV and Total Carnage and a 2 in 1 switcher.  The good news is that it was a simply soldering job where I tapped into the -5v from the harness.  Works great.

I'm not POSITIVE on this, but aren't those 49-way games?  I know some work in 8-way modes (not sure which).  Just thought I'd mention it so that you can do more research.

NBA Jam is an 8 way game and NFL Blitz can be either 8 or 49 way.

Thanks for everyones responses so far, this is my first time getting a machine so Im very green when it comes to these things. I have just done casual browsing when it comes to actually getting a switcher but are there certain ones I should get/avoid? Like I said I'm slightly out of my league when it comes to these things so any help and input is greatly appreciated.
