As far as arcade controls on the Wii, might wanna wait for the new KADE mini-console.

Problem with wii is you have to navigate the home screen with a remote.  I've had one collecting dust for 2+ years now.....

A lot.  The iPac is a keyboard encoder.  It takes in arcade control input and outputs keyboard codes.  The KADE is programmable.  It can get wired to several different controller types and can be programmed to output as a keyboard encoder or as several different controller types.

The KADE mini console will accept a host of different controllers and output the appropriate control method auto-magically.

You gotta do some research before you get to "voila!", but it's not super hard to do.
