My current arcade has an old PC in it with a power supply. I was able to power the joysticks by taking advantage of the floppy power connections which use the same voltage (+5v). I am now building a Raspberry PI 2 version of the system but am not sure how to get power to the joysticks. I read that USBs have +5v pins, so would I be able to take power from a USB connection to run each joystick? I was also thinking I could use a 9v battery somehow as well, but I'm not sure how. If it can help somehow, there is also an Mini-PAC being used to handle the buttons and trackball.
I guess i'm looking for suggestions/options to get those joysticks powered up? (battery, USB, plan c?)
Thanks.
