Naomi cabinet Newbie help
« on: March 31, 2015, 05:06:03 am »
I have brought a new naomi cab with idea to convert it for mame. The cabinet is converted by seller to jamma and have all the wiring necessary for conversion also the monitor is replaced with orion 15khz tube.

The control panel is three button layout only i'm planing to make it six button seller agreed to make the transition.

The question is what i need ? So far i have ordered j-pac and Seimitsu LS-56 arcade stick, sanwa buttons for the control panel.

Not sure how do i hook up the arcade monitor do i need jamma power supply to turn it on ?

Do i ever need jamma power supply for anythin or i can put it out of the cab ?

I'm not very proficient with wiring so i need to wire 5 and 6 button player to j-pac any tutorial for that ?

How do you turn on your cabs i mean do you have power switch from pc wired to a button or how do i turn the cab ?

I have the basic pc running groovymame on crt tv so i can just change monitor setup to arcade_15 and i'm done right and just connect with j-pac

And last one how do i connect sound i suppose the cab have speakers so ho do i wire them or i use regular speakers and hook them up to j-pac ? If so how ?

feel free to corect me i'm total noob when it comes to arcade cab

Thanks i know so many questions
