  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
Controller and button help.
« on: March 27, 2015, 03:31:10 am »
Im in the process of getting my parts together for my 1st build attempt. Im not sure what or where to buy the controller from. Im looking for Ice blue concalve(ideally led lit with chrone trim) buttons as i will play alot of track and field. I would also like to have the left and right button so i can have pinball. I would be using 6 buttons per player.
I will be most likely using maximus as a front end so would like to operate it from the buttons and not a keyboard. Im UK based.
Thanks in advance for help.

first off, check out Ultimarc. They're in the UK.
Other popular vendors are Groovy Game Gear & Paradise Arcade.

A good way of deciding which roducts to buy is by doing some searching through the project announcements section and see what others are using.

Would something like this be ok working with Maximus or other front ends? Prepared to forgo the led in favour of concalve buttons.

Its hard to say as they don't identify models in that ebay sale but I'd be careful about ebay sales for arcade controls.
The controls are not the place to cheap out on.
