Author Topic: Rebuilt Williams Defender power supply. Low coin door voltage?  (Read 756 times)

  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
So I just rebuilt a Defender linear power supply. All the voltages on the 4J2 pins are solid right on the money.
The pins for 4J3 (coin door power) are not what they should be according to the diagram though:
Pins 1&2 are +4.9 VAC (should be +6.3)
Pin 3 is +33 VDC (should be +27)
The only other anomaly is that Test Point 2 is reading about +14.9 (should be +12.8)
Are these values ok??
If not, where do I need to start looking to fix this? I read that the +6.3 VAC is a result of the original 9VAC being stepped down by resistor R15?
