Rowe/Ami CD-100 auxiliary amplifier accessory kit problem
« on: March 20, 2015, 11:45:10 pm »
I have a CD-100 and I have the AMI/Rowe Amplifier Accessory Board 60792702... What do I need to hook up an iPhone/iPod or a laptop up the cd-100 to play external music. I've tried direct 1/8" to RCA  right on the accessory board and also a stereo amplifier with the 1/8" to RCA inputting the iPhone and coming out of the amplifier with RCA's to the accessory board. All I can get us the faintest sound at full volume.when I turn if the jukebox it goes to full loud volume for just a second. Any help would be appreciated. I do have the manual with the accessory board.
  Thanks

This is really pressing my memory as it has been many years. There is a background music pot for level on that board, is it turned up? There are a bunch of different ways to hook those boards up refer to the manual and double check that you have it right for your application.

I tried doing the same thing and it may have screwed up my amp!    I need to get back with the guy that repaired my amp because he said he had a safe way of doing it.

I will have to check my aux board out to see if its the same one. My jukebox is a CD-100C. I don't think there was enough power from the iphone to drive the amp. However I was able to connect a Bluetooth adapter and use that with my iphone. it works really well.
