So it's just come to my attention that certain early versions of KoF 98 play an audio clip when booting up the game which says "play that ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- like you just got your ??". Never heard anything about this before!

That's a Korean version, the ROM is named "kof98k.zip", I've got it in my MAME 0.149 set.

According to this community there are many different versions which have this erm, 'feature' - there's JP/US ones too.
