You jerks, (Except Neph, as he's the only one who warned me how bad this can get)

Looks like I'm bowing out of ZapCon15. But for good reason, I picked this up today...

Both monitors have recently been cap'd. Came with the marquee plexiglass for both sides (I'll need bolts, but I have some) and a SMB marquee card.  Two Vs boards. One with WreckingCrew, and the other with Castlevania and SMB.  He's gonna swing me a blue and red button as well as soon as the replacements show up. Has the keys for the lids, but it's missing the coin box key, no big deal. :)

:lol just seconds ago i was feeling kinda bad because i read Chuck's post in the ZapCon thread after i said i wasn't comming. But now i feel better  ;D

Where are you finding this ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---?

The interwebs   ;D

The guy had a bunch of things there. Most notably A Centipede restore, couple SuperChexx, an MK2, and a ---smurfing--- Namco Suzuka 8 Hours. THAT would be super cool if i had room for it.

Yots', you never disappoint.

I hope space isn't a premium where ever you're putting that...

That was the oddest thing i read about these cabs all week. People put some kind of focus on the size. Really, its not that big. I've got a feeling it might have a smaller footprint then my other cocktail cab.  As soon as i get some help to get it out of the car and downstairs i'll take a bunch more pictures (as you know i would  ;D).

I know you can get them for $400-1400. He had this posted for a month on Kijiji at $1200 obo. I obviously wast going to pay that. He was a really nice guy and we both came to a decent deal somewhere between what he wanted and what I know they can be had for. Also factoring in rarity, our location, condition, and a few smaller things.

I actualy have the Castlevania and SMB games up for trade here and on KLOV. I'm not a big guy on the Castlevania, and I already have a SMB I picked up with my DK a couple weeks ago. There really isn't much I'd want to convert that SMB PPU too, so I figured I'd trade it off to someone who will give me something I need for my builds.

Those are such unique and cool cabinets. And that one is in way better shape than most I've seen (and played on location). Congrats!
Completed projects: Pac bartop (Plug & Play), 30th Anniversary Pac cab (MAME), Point Blank (PS1), Centipede (arcade hardware- light restore), VS. Super Mario Bros (arcade hardware- light restore) Tetris Cocktail (SNES), Arcade Classics upright (60-in-1, then MAME), Multi-Raiden (arcade hardware). Pac Man vs.(Gamecube),

Working on: Pinball Re-theme, Homebrew arcade arena shooter

Somewhere, maybe, I've got a game module for one of those things.  Also have a Vs Soccer card for under the plexiglass.  They're neat and all but take up a ton of space.  What's your plan for it?

A couple things planned actually.

1. Offer you something for that Vs Soccer if you still have it (or anything Vs. you may have for that matter).
2. Its in great shape, so keep it to play.
3. when i run out of current projects i may fully refurbish it to factory fresh.  I'm starting to amass a ton of Nintendo parts.

Well, I just realized the direction I want to take this.

Apparently there's a nintendo kit to convert half of the red tent to a Playchoice-10. Yeah. The downside is that it removes head to head gaming on the red tent (wrecking crew, baloon fight, tennis, etc) however if you unplug certain connections you can switch between dualsystem head to head, and unisystem Playchoice-10 mode. I think I could build an adaptor that would allow me to have a switch where if I wanted to I could easily switch from one to the other.

The Red Tent/Playchoice kit is Rare. But I want one. For sure.

As some of you know there is also a NES cart/Playchoice adaptor. Maybe that as well. On top of all that, as I run out of projects I'll start to refurbish this red tent.

My goal is to have a "nintendo" row of sorts: My DK Ultimate, a custom 2-Player Widebody "Tully" Cabaret with deticated Mario Bros (already started to collect parts :D), and this Red Tent with both Dualsystem and PC-10 setups switchable.  Then after, I'll repurpose my SuperPlayChoice for the SNES/Gameboy/VirtualBoy titles.

Science help me if I develop a taste for Pre-Donkey Kong Nintendo arcade titles.

Only Vs games worth a damn are Excitebike and Dr. Mario.  Super Mario Bros is infuriating because they've changed the levels just enough and removed the extra lives.  I couldn't take the endlessly repeating 20 second music on Dr. Mario and offloaded the whole damn thing.

I'll poke around and see if I still have any parts or anything remaining.  I'd be very surprised if I do...

Cool!

Yeah Dr Mario is on my list for sure. I used to play the ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- outta that game when I was a kid.

Let me know what you find.
