Buy your tickets now. I hear it gets very, very crowded.

Thanks for the info, Yots.  Think it would be too busy for a 9-year-old to have some fun in, or are they generally so packed that they'd end up getting overwhelmed?

I've never been, but friends who have have told me that BO and heat are issues. Still, I'd love to go.

Come to ZapCon!

I am going again this year. This will be my 5th time going. It is fun, but definitely overcrowded. There are also a few really smelly people there.

If it was only the games drawing me there, I might not still be going, due to the crowding. It is a great meeting place to see friends from different forums though. To me, that is the main draw of the event.

Also check out Pin-a-go-go if you like pinball. It is in Dixon on May 15-17. It is cheaper and less crowded, but pinball only.

I've wanted to go the past couple years as my wife and I are from the Bay Area but it just hasn't worked out. Plus we have ZapCon where we live now to get excited about.

Good deal - thank you for the information folks!  And thanks Paul for the Pin-A-Go-Go info - I'm thinking we'll probably head to that one instead.  I'm not a big fan of crowds, and I'm pretty sure my wife and daughter wouldn't appreciate that or the BO either :)  Zapcon sounds like fun, but there's way too much stuff going on here for me during that time.  Maybe next year!

My wife and I went last year.  Had a lot of fun.

But yes, extremely crowded and LOUD.  We often had to YELL to talk to each other....  standing right next to each other.    :dizzy:

Its a great show, but I was thankful I had a room in the hotel.  Took lots of breaks just to get out of the insanity..

Pin-A-Go-Go has been SUPER CROWDED the last few times I've went (didn't go last year because the previous two were so packed).

The BO factor wasn't too bad....   but it was still there.
