Electrical Wiring Question ?
« on: December 23, 2003, 09:35:19 am »
I'm getting ready for some last minute shopping before the holidays and I still need to get some wiring to do the electrical portion of my cab.

I notice BobRoberts mentions on his site to use 18ga, and I read elswhere for 16ga, what is usually the norm? Should it also be stranded or solid?

Am I cheaper to use TheShack, or should I try an electrical place first? I don't want to sound like a total noob when I get there, so what it is the correct terminology for what I'm looking for?

ie... Good Morning sir ... may I help you?

mmm, yes, I'm looking for ( blank wire ), ya got some???  ;)

Thanks in advance.

18Ga stranded should meet all your needs.  make sure to get different colors though--I got a big reel of all white (it was free) and it makes things harder when you are trying to trace a wire around :-[
its better to not post and be thought a fool, then to whip out your keyboard and remove all doubt...
