want to build an arcade, have some questions
« on: December 23, 2003, 03:21:08 am »
Hi all!  My name's Abe and i'm new here.  I was hoping you could answer a few questions for me.  I want to build a unit that can run games from pac-man to marvel-vs-capcom.  How powerfull a system should i have(a, b, c or d)???  I also was interested in *maybe* using it as a jukebox as well, but that's not really important right now.  Also, i was wondering if there is any way to make the system only boot to mame??  Or do i have to load it after my OS boots? I plan on using a flavour of linux, any recomendations??
Arcades are cool........

Here is the quickest way to answer that without starting a debate.

Will your current computer run the games you want to play? If so, then use that, and get yourself a new computer for your desktop.
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

Lok up at the top of the section - there is a sticky thread with a FAQ on this very topic.
