I-PAC Auto Mouse Button idea.
« on: February 20, 2015, 08:43:48 am »

I am interested in feedback on a possible firmware enhancement for the I-PAC boards which have a trackball interface.

The Start1 and Start2 buttons would become mouse buttons when the trackball is moved (ie being used as a mouse) and for a few seconds thereafter.

Does this sound useful? Would using other buttons be better (for example buttons 5 and 6 of one player as these are unikely to be used in any trackball game).

The feature would be enabled/disabled in WinIPAC.

That's a great idea! Instead of panels with 32 buttons, we'll only see 30 now.

That would be cool, or even an option to have a mouse button as a shift command.  I'm using Mala and the one issue I am having so far is that I still lose focus sometimes.  A shift button would be a lot easier than opening my CP to hit the mouse.

Great idea Andy. I have the 2015 ipac2 setup just like this. The only buttons on my panel are the player buttons and a start 1 and 2. This would be very handy.
