Keywiz please help. Christmas Gift
« on: December 22, 2003, 02:23:52 pm »
I am stumped can anyone help. I am using the keywiz for an arcade project that does not use mame as the default. The problem is that I want to change the default configuration of the keywiz to match the software keyboard shortcuts that I am using. I configure profile A and program it and it works fine. But the next time I reboot it losses the configurations again until I re-run the keywiz software.

Is there anyway to change the default keywiz configuration so that I don't have to run the software each time I boot? I don't want to add it to startup because I want the process to be transparent. Also I am not using the shazam key.

Please help it's a Christmas present and I only have a few days to figure this out.

Bill

The keywiz does not remember a custom configuration. It needs to be programmed every time you reboot.

Someone asked for a keywiz programmer that ran transparently so that you wouldn't see it and I think Randy put something together for that person. If Randy doesn't have that on his site you might want to ask him if its available. He has always been very helpfull when it comes to that kind of stuff.

Your other option is to reprogram your software to use the keywiz default.
My statements are my own opinions. They have the value that the reader gives them. My opinion of my opinion varies between foolish and brilliant and these opinions often change with new information.

Good answers, eightbit, thanks for helping out. :)

Bill, email me and I can help you out with a copy of the "silent" software.
