golden tee complete
« on: February 09, 2015, 03:44:17 pm »
Im new to this and was wondering if anyone had any ideas. I have a golden tee fore 05. with a green pcb board, hard drive and a 2.09 eprom. I want to upgrade it to a golden tee complete. What would I need to do that and if so where can I get this stuff.

Thanks in advance

Unfortunately, you can't get this service anymore. You would have to buy a complete board. You could always try calling Incredible Technologies and see what they say.  :dunno

What does the u53 chip do and where would I solder it on the board?
Another question someone is a selling a red pcb board with eagle 2.09 eprom. Can I just swap out the boards? He was saying something about they take different power supplies do you know what hes talking about? And would any golden tee complete hard drive work. Sorry for all the questions.

eagle 2.09 is the main boot rom.. for red or green board's
any it's gamming red or green board.
u53 is the security chip and the s/w on the hard drive must match
it's security #,country code, model
the red and green can inter change it is just the red board uses a atx style power supply

If I got the u53 chip how would I program the hard drive to know the security number and what not? Would it be easier buying a compact flash drive they sell on eBay?

Hi Ed,

I've been following your many posts on this subject. You seem to be the guy to talk to. I have a 2005 Extra Red Board that I am interested in upgrading to Complete. I understand I need to have the Complete HDD, 2.09 boot chip(U15), security chip (U53 G4C-US-U), and U61. First of all, is this correct? Second, if correct, where can I get theU53 and U61? the others I've got covered.

Thank you,
A

Hi Ed,
Do you still have any of the g4c-can-U chips left? I can't PM you as I am too new a member, but I expect you can send me a note - perhaps with an email address until my posting PMs is authorized. Trying to get a GT Complete running on a Canadian board...
Thanks!
John
