Problem Direct3D device (8876017C)
« on: February 09, 2015, 03:10:10 pm »
Hello,

I try to install Mame on my old Pentium 4. First I tried Linux and the system was more or less working. But because Linux was new for my  and the learning curve steep I installed Windows XP again and the latest version of Mame, 0.158. Everytime I start Mame I get the message :
Direct3D device (8876017C),
Unable to initialize Direct 3D
Unable to complete Window Creation

And than Mame stops.

I did run a update for directx.

Does somebody knows solution for this?

Thanks in advance
