I have a Moon Cresta Pt II bootleg, doesnt romident.
« on: February 06, 2015, 06:00:46 pm »
I got a board last night labelled "Moon Cresta Pt II" and out of three of the roms I plugged into romident only the third one returned a hit as being from a Moon Cresta bootleg.
Firstly how can I set myself up with the latest romident database? I'm using a web based romident which is dated 2004 and I spent longer last night trying to get my xp laptop on my friend's internet than I spent identifying boards.
Second, is this likely an un-mamed (undumped?) bootleg board that I should pass on to a mame dev?
I can post photos later.
Unfortunately the board wont run, it has corroded traces and bad ic sockets, my programmer does tell me when an eprom has a bad pin connection though so I dont think the roms are bad.
