Joystick Configuration Question
« on: December 20, 2003, 06:00:14 pm »
I'm not sure if this is the right venue for a question like this, so please accept my most humble apologies if I'm posting in the wrong place.

I am currently building a cabinet and using MAME to build a retro-80's arcade machine. Folks have done this all over the place, but I've been unable to find any advice or guidance for wiring my configuration.

I am using a Happ Controls Rotary Joystick (50-5618-00) and an Ultimarc IPAC4 and am wondering if anybody can give me any advice regarding wiring the rotary joysticks. I'm at a complete loss and lack the technical acumen to figure out what I'm doing wrong.

I haven't wired up rotaries myself, but my understanding is that you'll need something like the Druin Rotary Interface for them.

EDIT:
Actually, see this thread for advice from people who actually HAVE these joysticks.  :P
