New Astro City Blown ISO Transformer
« on: January 30, 2015, 10:05:52 am »
Hi All,
After years of use, I now have a dead ISO transformer in my cabinet. I've tested power from the wall up until the ISO transformer where it cuts off. The fuse died and I replaced it but still nothing. A few questions here:

1: Should I buy the exact same model (MPI-650-230)? There are lower versions posted online from the same company and same wiring terminals for an easy swap.

2: Can I run the cabinet without it? I've read up on the ms29 monitor and many claim that it is safe to run it without. The NAC manual doesn't show any ISO transformer in the wiring diagram from the monitor.
