Rage inducing game  :banghead:

Is there an option in MAME to correct screenshots of games with weird pixel aspect ratios?

What a quirky little game.  Strange controls, weird environments, random enemies, and bizarre scoring system.

I like it!

I recently put my MAME cabinet in the office at work and one way we've been exposing ourselves to new games is by trying out whatever is featured as the competition. I've been crappy at this one but two other guys in the office are doing pretty well at 40 something thousand right now. If I manage to catch up to them I'll certainly post a screenshot.

Wish my boss would go for a Mame cab at work (even better a Vpin cab)!   Of course I wouldn't get much work done.

Currently stuck at 30k.   Can't get past the sea level.

I apologise - this game sucks. I'd only given it a couple of goes before posting it and thought it might be one of those games that might have some mileage (ho ho).  Turned out it's just a bit crap.

Anyway - gave it as many goes as I could bear and got to 20550

Current standings are:

WakiMiko: 53,790
Popsicle:    26,690
Markc74:     20,550
wp34:    0,000  ;D

Liquid134 (25k-ish), Kixfan (30k-ish) - I guess we need screenies?

No Jasonbar, Mystic is worse!

Here is my "screenie"

Non leachy "legal" score of 32,500 and then a bit leachy "non-legal" score of 42,280 (on last car I just hung out in the volcano).

Technically I would say it's probably not leaching cause it does finally start to speed up but you can gather a lot of points.   On the other hand if it's not fun then whats the point.

Couple things I've noticed, You can't land on the Joker building in stage 1, watch entering stage 2, if you haven't killed the crazy skull car he has a tendency to carry over into level 2.   You can ride the water shoot out of the volcano level if you time it properly but not worth it as there is no bonus.   In the sea level, if you are to close to surface, bird will drop second bomb, which usually you can't avoid.

Who all has made it past the sea level?   Are the last 2 levels even harder?

Finally got past the sea level.   You will get to a red bridge.  It will raise you up into the air.   36k.    Getting past the shooting fish, lay back till they appear, then shoot one and move forward immediately.

Finally made it through all the stages (it wraps around, and doesn't seem to get much harder, if at all?).  The sea level is by far the most frustrating.  The last one which is mostly in the sky with platforms and missiles coming from below was easy by comparison.

I tried to spend most of the sea level toward the bottom of the ocean, occasionally taking a big jump to the top and coasting over a lot of the crap.

Yep - just be sure to check the 2 threads of previous competitions to ensure you do not pick one that has already been used.
