WinIPAC for IPAC4
« on: December 29, 2014, 01:59:52 pm »
Im trying to set up two buttons that will exit when they are both pressed together. I know one has to be a ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- key. The buttons currently are a Pause and an Enter. Is it possible to set it up so that when they are both pressed it will exit?
Thanks

The easiest way is to use "shifted" functions.

P1 Start is the default shift key, but you can change that if you want via the WinIPac software.

Just to confirm, you did click on "program" and got a message confirming that the board was programmed successfully, right?

I was trying to do this yesterday on my j-pac. I had to run the program as admin to get it to save.

I always run as admin. I'm on Windows 7 x64. I can set the shift key to p3sw7 which is currently set as Pause (p) and I have set the shift button to be escape under sp3sw8. When I press p3s8 which is set as Enter it doesn't shift to escape as set. I press and hold and it just doesn't work at all. I have checked both wirings on the buttons and they are both set as NO. I've checked the connection to the ipac4 too and its all correct. I just don't know why it wont work.

Well for some reason you can only set Player 1 Start button as a shift key. I have no idea why you cannot set two or any other keys. Its Player 1 Start and nothing else. The software is misleading as it shows you can change it and have two. Why is it like this? :( :(

You can change the shift key to any key but you can only have one shift key on pre-2015 boards.

I can check your IPC (config) file if you can send it, but I wont be able to check it until after 9th.
