XBOX 360, 10k pots - 5k pots? - Dual Strike maybe?????
« on: December 24, 2014, 10:33:19 am »
Hi folks I needs some help here to get started....

I want to gutt a Sega Manx TT Dx arcade machine (motorcycle racer) and have it run either off a PC or a Xbox - so I can use the bike and control modern day games..? (games like moto Gp 14, or SBK)

As I understand it (have not opened it up yet but have asked around) the Sega ManxTt arcade cabinet uses 5k pots

questions:
1. Am I correct in understanding that if i hack an xbox controller it uses 10 k pots?
2. is there any converter or variable pot that would go from 5k to 10 k? or a way to get these two different pots to work???? interface things together?
3, if I use a Pc instead of the xbox and run the games off that instead of the xbox - what would I need to connect the 5k manxtt pots to the computer???? ???  (a dual strike in this case - is it 5k or 10k???)
4. I'd love to wire the signal from the xbox rumble motors to the actual motor in the Sega Manxx tt cabinet as well (that provides force feed back to the bike) - any one have any ideas, products or suggestions on how to take that signal and root it to the big motors that I am sure needs more voltage and such

I am brand new to this so please take it easy on me and if possible me along to get started - please...
