happs coindoor coin acceptor sticking?
« on: December 17, 2003, 07:18:43 pm »
Hello.  My player one coin door is not accepting my quarters well.  The player 2 mechanism is fine.  THe player one sometimes lets the coin drop through and register.  Most of the time, though it gets stuck somewhere in between.  I can push the coin return and sometimes the quarter will drop on through and register sometimes it is returned via the return coin slot.  Anyone have isead on where in that mechanism I could adjust a spring or pin or something to remedy this...??

Thanks very much.

There is a screw on the "magnet gate" part of the coin chute. Turning this screw inward opens the gate farther to allow thick quarters to pass thru properly without getting stuck. Probably a 1/4 turn of the screw should do it.

thanks for the help.  Any direction you could give me on which screw is the one i am looking for.  there are a few (some painted with a red mark?) and i adjusted a number of them and am not getting much of a change.  Also buy inward do you mean clockwise or counterclockwise to loosen it.

Thanks very much.

Is it new or old? Have you tried cleaning and lubing it?
