Hey Everybody, I've posted a topic about this over on the Cannonball forum, but though I'd start one here in case anyone else has had a similar issue and can offer some advice.
The hard drive in one of my old PC's died requiring me to do a fresh install of Windows 7 on a new (old) one. I can now no longer get Cannonball to work on this PC. Initially I was getting an error message about the missing msvcp100.dll file, but I downloaded the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86). Now when I try and start the game it just loads up a blank white window with nothing happening. I'm using the same romset I've got on another PC with Cannonball that works fine on that PC. Cannonball had previously worked on this PC prior to the HDD dying. The GPU is an NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT and I'm using windows 7 home premium 64 bit. I downloaded and updated all the Direct X stuff the day before.
The version of Cannonball I'm using is the Windows - OpenGL Rendering version. I initially just copied across the version I had been using on my other PC, but when that didn't work I tried a fresh download with no success.
Anyone have any ideas as to why it's just hanging on this blank screen when I try and start it? I'm not having any issues with the small amount of other games I'm running on it (Outrun C2C, Model 2 Emu and MAME).
