looking for a Universal arcade cabinet schematic
« on: December 10, 2014, 01:24:57 pm »
Hi all. I'm new to the forum.

I have Mr. Do's Castle and Mr. Do's Wild Ride uprights that are in non-original cabinets. One is in a GPI Enigma II cabinet. The other in a generic water damaged cab.  I'd like to put both into original Universal cabinets, but am having a difficult time finding any. The next best thing would be to build a couple of Universal style cabinets, but I can't find any dimensions or schematics online. I don't want to wing the whole thing off of some grainy internet photos.

Does anyone out there have some schematics, or a Universal cabinet that you can take some high def photos of and provide a few dimensions to get me started?

Thanks!

so you're looking for cabinet dimensions, not schematics, right?

have you considered messing with sketchup? you can can find some good cabinets in 3d warehouse and get pretty good dimensions off of them.

another option: there is a frontend called 3d arcade. I ran into the guy who makes it at Funspot two years ago. he measures all of the machines and very well may have the exact measurements for universal cabinets.
His name is Dennis. his user name at KLOV is jibmums.

Thanks!  That 3D Warehouse link give me just what I need to get started.  Yes, I meant measurements and not technical electrical diagrams.
