PSX pad hack for PS3/PS4 (adaptors?)
« on: December 06, 2014, 02:03:39 pm »
I have a custom made arcade control panel. It has a cheap third party PSX digital pad hack inside. I use it for PC, XBOX 360 and Dreamcast with adaptors.

Now I've bought a PS3 and I don't know what I could do to use it with this console too. Any adaptor that will work and with no lag? I've seen many models, cheap and expensive and I have no idea if they work or not.

If that's not posible, could I hack a PS3 pad and use the same wires I already have, I mean having both pad hacks at the same time, inserting the cables from the new pad into the connector I already have? Or would it be easy to add new wires from the pad to every button? As you can see, I have wires for every button and a common ground that jumps from one to another.

If I do so, any PS3 pad that is easy to hack? Is there any PS3 pad that will also work with PS4? (I don't like the idea of having the add another pad hack when I buy the PS4).

Edit:
I've been browsing the web and it seems that hacking a PS3 pad is very very hard task. Could this be the solution? -> http://www.jammaboards.com/store/pc-mame-ps3-to-arcade-controller-usb-interface-pcb-kit-pc2jamma-usb.html
