Voltages From PC Power Supply

Hi All,
Hope this isn't a too bleedingly obvious question, but am I correct in thinking that I can take a 12V from the molex connector on a PC power supply?
I need to run a small amp and also some LED lighting - both 12V.
Thanks in advance chaps..

Yes -- as long as the wattage of the PSU +12V rail is high enough to power them (ie. if you have a 250W PSU with a 16Amp rated +12V rail then it can provide at maximum (16A x 12V = 192 W output ) and you will want to try running no more than probably 80% of that total (to ensure it does not overload the PSU) or approx 150Watts of total 12V usage using that PSU - including all components using that 12V source.

Thanks chaps ... just needed confirmation.
Thanks JDFan - I am 90% with you on your detailed post, and the two items should not need to draw much.
