Vectrex controller

Hello, thinking about making a control panel just for Vectrex.  Should I use a 8 way joystick or does the emulation work with a spinner?

Thanks!

Update.  It's an analog joystick.  So maybe I will use a 360.

There are almost none games that use the analog functionality. So a standard joystick with some resistors in series and you are done. Plus four buttons and a D-SUB connector.

I wouldn't say there are almost none that use analog, but certainly there are more games which don't than do. And therefore many of those play better with a digital stick...
