Well, I've been hanging around the mid 70's through out the day.   I am not feeling 100% (I think I got a cold coming on).   Anyway, thought I'd take a few more runs before bed.   I realized I was just trying to get to the next level but once you get to level 10, they are so fast I don't have much of a chance with that strategy.   So, then I concentrated on getting the flag at the top of each screen.   In the later rounds just getting it alone is worth 6k.   With that strategy and some very good luck I was able to make it to level 12.   I think I cleared level 11 on a single shot!

If I remember correctly, only 3 lives and no diamonds.   I was able to make it to level 10 on the first guy.   cleaned up level 10 and wiped out 11 on one shot (EXTREMELY LUCKY) and then wasted 2 and 3 on level 12.   I figure getting the flag on each level was worth about 25-30k.   I think I was around 110k after level 10.    Without my lucky shot on 11 our scores are very close!
