SOLVED: IPAC-2 config
« on: September 20, 2014, 08:44:40 pm »
Hello all, I am finally to the stage of getting my buttons/joysticks wired up... I have wired up P1 joystick so far, and wanted to check to make sure everything was working properly, and the IPAC is recognized, etc.

My computer recognizes and installs the IPAC, and I can mess with it inside the IPAC config program.  My issue is, my P1 joystick up/down/left/right are showing up as P2 Sw 5/6/7/8.  So instead of up/down/left/right, I am getting i/k/j/l buttons instead.  I am confused as to why this would possibly be the case, as the P1 up/down/left/right connections are nowhere near the P2 sw 5/6/7/8 on the board.  Any ideas?

Thanks!  ???

Ah, as I was typing this I accidentally fixed it!  I think the problem was I initially accidentally configured it as IPAC-4.  I restored to default and reprogrammed it, and now it seems that all is well.  Phew!
