***UPDATE - 01/19/04 - UPDATE***
All,
Thanks again for all you interest and patience, but it appears the warehouse raid is a no-go. I have attempted to contact the person multiple times since the holidays to no avail. If anything develops I will keep you all in the loop, but I think it is time to start looking forward to the next auction.
I really wanted this to happen, if for no other reason that to meet many of you in the Atlanta and surrounding area that I have spoken to and dealt with. I apologize if this caused anyone any inconvenience.
Best Regards,
James - 1BummedOutSpaceCadet
All,
I have an oppourtunity to possibly host an Arcade Shopping Spree event in the Atlanta area. What I mean by this is that I have access to an operator who is interested in selling of most of his vids and pins as well as a plethora of parts; monitor, coindoors, cps, joysticks, etc. You name it, its there. We are talking a warehouse full as well as two 18 wheeler trailers packed to the gills. My idea is to convince him to open the doors for one or two days on a weekend in the near future and try to sell it all off. The rest he would most likely ebay.
As I am unsure how many BYOAC'ers are in this area, or would be willing to travel to this area for such an event, please let me know so I can use this to convice him to open the doors.
The prices are great. He wants to sell this stuff for as little hassle as possible, so he really is letting this stuff go for low prices.
Please let me know by posting to this board if you WOULD be interested in traveling to Atlanta in the near future for this purpose.
Thanks, 1HSC
