Android software - finally, true 'color organ' apps
« on: August 22, 2014, 01:19:25 pm »
For some reason, there has never been a program created under any version of Windows that visualized music in the way a 1970's 'color organ' would.  A color organ would display one color of light(s) for low notes, another for mid-range, and another for high.

Windows has some great 'visualization' software like MilkDrop and others, but those really only sense the rhythm of the music and have the visual shift and respond to the rhythm/beat.

Anyway, today I discovered a couple of apps for my phone that DO respond to the frequencies...and there for the beat and the frequencies.  Here's one I'm playing around with right now:

If you have a nice Android tablet, you might want to integrate it into your juke somehow.

The only drawback with this particular program is that you can't set the microphone level.  Maybe on the paid version?  On another program that is frequency responsive ("Music & Lights"), you can.

Anyway, I just listened to The Who singing "Behind Blue Eyes" and relived a moment in a friend's living room in 1971.....
